About
The Barwon Hotel has been trading since 1842 on the Barwon River — the bluestone structure predates most of regional Victoria's other pubs. Free non-powered camping on the riverbank out the back requires no booking and welcomes pets, which is an offer you will not find at any other pub in the Geelong region. The kitchen opens from noon seven days and live music lands on weekends.
Known locally as the Bottom Pub — the Winchelsea Hotel (Top Pub) is a short walk north on Willis Street. Kitchen hours: lunch 12pm–2pm, dinner 5:30–8pm (8:30pm Friday and Saturday).
