Known locally as Apollo Bay's 'Top Pub', the Great Ocean Road Brewhouse is a historic foreshore hotel rebuilt around its in-house Prickly Moses craft brewery and a 100-plus craft beer line-up. The kitchen runs lunch every day from 11:30am and dinner every night, with an all-day kitchen on weekends, public holidays and school holidays — handy for the post-walk window between lunch and dinner that catches most other Surf Coast pubs.
Two beer gardens (front and back, both dog-friendly) make it the natural counterpart to Apollo Bay Hotel's 'Bottom Pub' — pair the two for a full Top-Pub-Bottom-Pub crawl, or use the Brewhouse as the brewery-trail finish to Little Creatures Geelong, Malt Shovel Taphouse and Blackman's Brewery. Sky Racing TAB, regular live music, on-site accommodation upstairs and a 4:30–6pm weekday happy hour round out the offer. Apollo Bay sits ~2 hours 30 minutes from Geelong via the Great Ocean Road and is the practical end-of-road for most day trips.
