Sailors' Rest occupies a prime spot at the foot of Moorabool St where the Geelong CBD meets the waterfront. The multi-level venue works its way up from a light-filled bayside dining room and al fresco terrace, through a beer garden, to a second-floor lounge bar and a rooftop deck with panoramic views across Corio Bay. It's the kind of place that works for a casual weekday lunch, a long Friday arvo session or a private function with a view.
The kitchen leans heavily into locally sourced seafood — fettuccine marinara, fisherman's basket, share platters — backed by an extensive list of cocktails, award-winning wines, and a solid selection of beers and ciders. The menu runs all day from breakfast through to late evening.
